Born Chef is based in Temecula, California, USA.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information — name, business name, email address, phone number, and role, provided when a wholesale account is created or when you contact us.
- Business and order information — company details, delivery and billing information, product orders, pricing arrangements, and documents you upload through the portal.
- Usage information — basic technical data (such as log and device information) generated when you use the Services, used to operate and secure them.
QuickBooks Online (Intuit) integration
Our admin portal connects to QuickBooks Online through Intuit’s authorized API, with the Accounting scope only, so that Born Chef staff can synchronize invoices, customers, and product items and view internal financial reports on an admin-only dashboard. Through this integration we may access accounting data such as invoices, customer records, items, and financial report totals for Born Chef’s own company file.
- We use QuickBooks data solely to operate Born Chef’s business — invoicing, order fulfillment, and internal financial reporting.
- We do not sell QuickBooks data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers necessary to run the Services (see below) or as required by law.
- Authentication tokens for the QuickBooks connection are stored encrypted at rest and are accessible only to trusted server-side processes.
- You can disconnect the QuickBooks connection at any time from the portal’s Settings, or from within your Intuit account.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services and your wholesale account.
- To process and fulfill orders and to generate invoices (including via QuickBooks Online).
- To produce internal financial and operational reporting for Born Chef.
- To communicate with you about your account, orders, and support requests.
- To secure the Services and comply with legal obligations.
How we store and protect information
Information is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure located in the United States. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest for sensitive credentials, and we limit access to authorized personnel and processes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.
How we share information
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Services — for example, our hosting and database providers, Intuit (QuickBooks Online) for invoicing and accounting, and our email delivery provider — and only as needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, meet our legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your choices and rights

Children
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
